Trans Associates has a professional service group dedicated to specialization in traffic signals and signal system design. Our signals group stays current with advances in hardware and software technology so that we can provide the best solutions to our clients. Experience with both new and old technology allows our professionals to make solid, fiscally responsible recommendations regarding maintenance, operations, and replacement options for signals and equipment.
Signal Design services include vehicle detection systems, pedestrian accommodations, adaptive signal networks and intelligent transportation systems (ITS). Signal systems have been designed for a variety of locations, including parking garages, loading areas, institutional campuses, city streets and rural settings.
We can also further assist our clients by performing safety studies to provide the basis for funding that can be used to upgrade unsignalized intersections. In Pennsylvania, we assist with Automated Red Light Enforcement (ARLE) grant applications which are 100% state funded. Trans Associates can assist with project identification, grant application and project administration.
