Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Relocation

Traffic Engineering

UPMC retained Trans Associates to provide transportation planning and traffic engineering services to assist with the logistics of the relocation of the Oakland Children’s Hospital to their new Lawrenceville campus area.

Services provided:

1) Assisted Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (CHP) personnel in the preparation of a formal Transportation Logistics Plan (TLP) for the move from the existing hospital facility in Oakland to the new hospital in Lawrenceville;

2) Prepared a Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT) plan as required by The City of Pittsburgh Department Public Works (DPW).  The MPT plan was prepared utilizing the final TLP for the Hospital move; and

3) Coordinated placement of signage with PennDOT and CHP.
