Bakery Square mixed-use development broke ground at the depth of the Great Recession in 2008. Fast forward to 2019 and Bakery Square is one of the premier locations at the center of Pittsburgh’s Innovation District. June 2019 marked the occasion of the topping off ceremony for Bakery Office Three, a $30 million, nine-story office building.
Trans Associates provided a Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT) plan for the development located along Penn Avenue in the City of Pittsburgh. The MPT plan was developed in accordance with PennDOT Publication 213, Temporary Traffic Control Guidelines, and City of Pittsburgh Standards. There were two phases of construction covered in the plan. Work scope included creating a Temporary Bus Stop Access plan for paved access to a relocated bus stop and coordination with other engineering firms working on the project, the City’s Department of Mobility and Infrastructure and the Port Authority of Allegheny County.
