This $24.5 million mixed-use development will replace a parking lot on the north edges of the Arena District in Columbus, OH. Its most prominent feature, 200 Vine St., will be a $14 million, four-story, 132,000-square-foot office/residential building along Neil Avenue between Vine Street and Spruce Street.
Trans Associates assisted with site planning and performed the requisite traffic impact study to help define roadway system modifications to accommodate the planned development as well as other new developments in the area. This included the redevelopment of the White Castle and CSX properties located west of Neil Avenue, the planned expansion of the Hilton Hotel at the Convention Center, North Market redevelopment, construction of a new AC hotel, and potential redevelopment of other properties located in the North Arena District.
With the project area located near the currently over-burdened interchange of I-670 with Neil Avenue, the challenge was to define a transportation system that best accommodates projected travel demands. Trans Associates continues to provide traffic engineering and transportation planning services to NRI and their project planners, architects, and engineers, as well as other clients in the vicinity, to help transform the North Arena District into a vibrant residential and commercial complex.
